SPONGE CAKE

INGREDIENTS :

  • 3 eggs
  • 120g custard sugar
  • 60g butter
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 120g self rising flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • Few drops of essence
  • Milk or water, required quantity

METHOD :

Mix cream, butter, sugar in a bowl and blend them until smooth. Beat the eggs well with essence and add this to the above mixture. Sieve the flour and salt for about 3 times. Gradually add the flour to the egg mixture and blend again to a smooth paste adding milk or water for consistency. Transfer this mixture into a greased baking tray and bake at 350-370 degrees F for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven, cool it and serve.
