Recipe: Seeds Chutney

To eat the same chutney every day is alsonot good. To preserve health, we have to consume varieties of food with vitamins.


  • Dates – 15gms
  • Cashewnuts-15 gms
  • Raisins-15gms
  • Beaten Bengal Gram – 10 gms
  • White sesame seeds-1/2-1 spoon
  • Dry Chilli Powder – 1 Spoon
  • Jaggery or Sugar – 15 gms
  • Groundnuts – 15 gms
  • Grated Coconut – 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 spoon
  • Tamarind – to taste


Trimmed coconut pieces to be fried.Sesame seeds, cumin seeds to be roasted with masala, until the colour turns red. Keep tamarind in water and make it thick. Mix with roasted trimmed coconut pieces, sesame seeds, dates, cardamom, grapes and grind along with tamarind juice.
Bring the above mixture to a boil adding sufficient water. Add a little jaggery for better taste.
