BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES

  • ? C butter
  • 1 C light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ? C sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ? tsp salt
  • ? tsp vanilla
  • ? C chopped walnuts

Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar until blended. Cool. Stir in egg. Sift together and stir in dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread in well greased and floured 8X8 pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350. Cut while warm into squares.
